Multimedia Presentations

Each year we work hard to bring fresh and inspiring themes to our presentation stage. From the moment we walk through the doors of your school until we are backing away at the end of the day, we are committed to excellence in all that we do. Our team members will be professional in their conduct with your staff and students, our stories are real and always communicated with sensitivity, and our messaging and call to action are evident from the outset of our presentations. We are in this for the long haul, and we want to ensure a successful relationship with your school for many years to come.

Topics
Our team will work with you to make sure that our time together is memorable, impacting, and inspiring. Each year our presentations focus on a theme centered around positive, personal and societal change. For the 2012/2013 school year, our show will be called "Something's Gotta Give" and will be focused on equality in our lives and the world around us. Students will be challenged to consider how equality looks in their school, their community and on a global scale.
In addition to our one hour presentations, we offer an optional and complementary workshop called "Live Global". Our workshop is ideal for smaller groups of 40 students or less, and focuses on bringing awareness to students about what is happening globally, and how they can start to respond right now to being a part of the solution. Our "Live Global" workshop is structured to fit in a 45-60 minute class time and will engage your students and inspire them to pursue the call to make a difference in the world around them.
What Others Are Saying
I would highly recommend a Live Different presentation in schools. The students are engaged and the style of presentation is appealing to our students. The Live Different staff are professional and respectful. They certainly go the extra mile to have a positive impact on students.
Thank you Live Different. I look forward to inviting you to our school in the future.
Marti Dreyer, Principal - Cobblestone Elementary
I first witnessed the presentations by this group during a youth leadership conference in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan in 2010. I was completely amazed by the fast-paced, hard hitting personal stories, videos, music and skits that dealt with many sensative issues that affect young people - leadership, bullying, suicide, drug and alcohol abuse and teenpregnancy. Their message to the students was powerful and convincing. Their motto "a changed heart can change the world", resonated with their audience and I witnessed 1,000 student completely engaged and focused on the message that was being delivered.
Dr. Gordon L. Barnhart, Lieutenant Governor - Province of Saskatchewan
Our students were engaged by the presentation and greatly enjoyed the evening performance. Despite facing some unfortunate adversity your group showed great resilience and was able to adapt quickly. Their interactions with our students were positive and all the feedback I have received regarding their time in the school has been excellent.
Lorna Lemaigre and Andre Vryheid - La Loche Community School
The performance was fantastic! Messages of responsibility, hope and giving were interspersed with performances by the touring band. All of the messaging was done in a seamless and relevant manner, and they fit perfectly with our school mission statement.
Barry Armstrong - Principal, Ottawa Technical Secondary School
"The presentation was fantastic. Everyone on the team demonstrated a positive attitude towards the audience and told each of their stories very well. Each story had a different impact on people, which was interesting."..."I never thought I'd learn so much about important topics such as abuse, bullying, and different global issues in one hour than what I did during the presentation this week. I believe that if you try to shove beliefs down teenager's throats in a boring way, they'll just throw it all back up in your face. However, the (Live Different) group did the exact opposite. The people from (Live Different) know how to reach their audience; through music, comedy, and different types of media. The speakers at the presentation managed to keep all of us entertained, and you could tell that they reached out to the entire audience because they kept all of us laughing and smiling the whole way through."

Each day, as we step on a stage or in front of a classroom, we challenge students to set aside a "me-first" world-view and to live selflessly, generously and differently. Because of this, we believe we have to practice what we preach. When we talk about all that warm fuzzy stuff like wanting to partner with schools and to empower young lives, we honestly mean it!
We want to reach every student, everywhere, regardless of school size or budget. Therefore, we fully sponsor our services to schools, and ask that you consider a charitable donation in return that reflects the value of the presentation. We ask a $300 deposit upon booking the presentation in order to secure your date, and from there you may decide what you are able to give for the presentation in order to help sustain this movement.
