This Award was created in honour of Benjamin Cole Brown, who passed away in a tragic plane crash while returning from delivering aid to Haiti after Hurricane Matthew. As a photographer, entrepreneur, and humanitarian, he lived his life in the service of others and always held the deep conviction that every person has endless potential to make a difference.

A bit of fine print.
In order to be eligible, you must be a Canadian resident between the ages of 16 and 24 and have your own DSLR Camera to bring on the Build. You will be responsible for posting pictures to a private Facebook group for the Build as well as select a few photos to share on our main Live Different Facebook page. Recipients of the award will be required to sign our child protection policy and consent package (and undergo a criminal reference check if over 18). Covered costs do not include expenses incurred while travelling within Canada or personal spending.
