Interim Director of International Programs

Alison first became involved with LiveDifferent as a Build volunteer with her son Parker in 2011. Since then Alison has enjoyed a constant connection with LiveDifferent fulfilling a variety of roles: volunteer, Board Member and staff member. Along with a love for people and community, Alison’s background in Family and Social Services and International Development Studies has made working with LiveDifferent a perfect fit for herself and her family.

What do you love about what you do?
All the people I get to connect with every day! With the role that I have at LiveDifferent, I get to connect with our amazing LD team in Canada and internationally plus connect with our partner and group leaders who are interested in organizing themselves along with their students, colleagues or family & friends to join us for an LD experience with our international partner communities. I love that I get to stay connected with people before, during and after their experiences with LiveDifferent and appreciate that I have the opportunity to stay connected with so many fantastic people year after year.
You’re stranded on an island and can only have 5 things with you. What are they?
My husband, my 2 dogs and an endless supply of tea and red wine.
If you had to choose one meal to have for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Gotta go with a never-ending charcuterie board. The cheese, the olives, bread, crackers and cured meats and pate…must also come with a glass of red wine 😀
