Making brave spaces for youth to talk to one another while feeling heard and supported. With all the issues youth face, there tends to be a common thread: A lack of connection and purpose. Through our dynamic assemblies, culture-shifting workshops, and engaging leadership training, LiveDifferent Circles helps young people explore important values, build stronger relationships and get activated in kindness—leaving your youth more compassionate, resilient and hopeful.
Why "Circles"?
The concept of talking circles originates from the traditions of Indigenous people of Turtle Island, particularly tribes in the Midwest, and are based upon equality between participants and the principle of sharing power instead of having power over one another.
While our Circles Program encompasses more than group discussions, this is the foundation of the program and helps to facilitate vulnerability, sharing, and healing for participants. It also helps to inspire and motivate youth to become leaders of compassion and kindness in their own social circles and within their communities.
