LiveDifferent’s Circles program provides schools across Canada with interactive motivational assemblies, workshops and supplemental resources that have a lasting impact on the lives of many young people each year.
We communicate our positive messages from a platform of relevance and high energy—with crowd interactions, personal stories, videos, and more. LiveDifferent aims to support 200+ schools from September to June, reaching over 80,000 students annually!
LiveDifferent supports urban, rural, remote and Indigenous communities in Canada. We take every opportunity to show respect and care for the children and youth we support.
We’re looking for discerning leaders who are responsible, organized, fun, take initiative, can troubleshoot on the fly and are excited to invest in other young leaders. Road Team Leaders need to ultimately align with LiveDifferent’s goal of inspiring students with a sense of value, hope, and purpose. Position Overview
Position hiring for:
Road Team Leader (two-year commitment)
Start Date:
June – July 2023 (flexible)
Location:
Working from home/southern Ontario when not travelling.
Salary:
$36,500 – 42,500 per year (plus all food/accommodations which are covered while on tour)
Core Responsibilities
— Overall team management and mentoring of team’s young leaders
— Key role in team presentation training/coaching
— Presentation/workshops general oversight, troubleshooting, etc while on tour
— Potential speaking or other key role(s) within presentation/workshops
— Responsible for each school’s overall experience, from team arrival to departure
— Organizing necessary billeting scenarios for tour
— Knowledge and maintenance of team’s gear and vehicle
— Regular communication with Manager of School and Community Programs
— Proper handling of cheques/receipts/documents/etc
Position Details
– Full-time/permanent position (with preference given to people who can commit to two years)
— Responsibilities exist 24/7 while “on tour”
— Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to learn how to drive a moving-truck sized vehicle
— Must have positive/fun/professional/persevering attitude
— Knowledge of basic sound/display production is a bonus
— Basic understanding of vehicles/mechanics is a bonus
— Enjoying sushi and/or Thai food isn’t a requirement… but it kind of is really.
