Senior Director, International Programs
Alison’s background is in Family and Social Services. Her “first career” was in case management, facilitation, and advocacy where she supported people with intellectual disabilities, helping them to thrive in their communities. Alison is also passionate about the YMCA and has enjoyed being a staff, volunteer, and member over the past 20 years… and sometimes she even goes there to work out! While investing more than a decade at home with her four children, Alison and her eldest son, Parker, discovered Live Different and went on their first Build together in 2011. Since then, Alison has engaged with our International Programs in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Mexico, and Thailand, served three years as a board member, and assumed the role of Interim Executive Director in 2016. Today, Alison proudly holds the position of Senior Director of International Programs and is excited as ever to continue working with the Live Different family of staff, partners and volunteers.
