The goal of the presentation is to move each student from being a reader of their life story to being the author of it. The message focuses on finding hope and developing a belief in the future by helping the students embrace and accept their story while understanding that they have the power to change its direction. By steering the inner dialogue of students to a hope-based outlook, we are addressing many of the underlying factors of mental health, bullying, and identity. The concepts explored in this theme revolve around narrative resilience and touch on many key factors of Positive Youth Development Theory.
