Our "Circles" program helps youth discover their own intrinsic value and see the potential for their future.
There are no shortcuts when reaching youth. We travel a long way to get there, so it’s not surprising that we pack a lot into our visits.
—
Motivational assembly: It’s 60 minutes of storytelling, engaging media and student interaction.
—
Sharing circles: In sharing circles, everyone has the chance to listen and be heard.
—
Youth empowerment workshops: Our workshops teach key lifestyle values and instill hope for the future.
—
Community engagement: We invite Elders to share their wisdom and stories with students, fostering connection and cultural learning.
In 2017, we launched a road team that would serving Northern, remote, and Indigenous communities. Here is some of the feedback we've received from our programming:
"LiveDifferent helped students step out of their shells and connect in a way I’ve never seen before. It was amazing to see them open up, share their stories, and build real, human-to-human connections."
- Student from 1972 Memorial School in Bunibonibee Cree Nation
Visits to First Nation schools
of educators believe the visit has had a long-term impact on their youth
Of youth experienced increased cultural pride/connectedness
of Indigenous youth said they had increased hope for the future
Our Builds program empowers Indigenous youth to engage in life-changing experiences, like constructing homes for families in need in the Dominican Republic. These trips foster cultural exchange, leadership, and personal growth, as youth contribute to creating brighter futures while discovering the power of service and connection.
