Courtney Penner

Board of Directors

Courtney was first introduced to LiveDifferent through a With Love Gala in Winnipeg. A couple of years later, her husband suggested organizing a build trip—an idea that marked the beginning of their deeper involvement with the organization.
Since then, Courtney has helped coordinate multiple builds in Mexico and has immersed herself in various aspects of LiveDifferent’s work, including participating in the Circles program in the north and visiting Haiti in 2025. Each experience—whether hosting road teams, attending events, or supporting programming—has deepened her love for the organization and the incredible people connected to it.
Professionally, Courtney has worked in the credit union system for nearly 13 years, most of that time in leadership roles. She brings both a heart for people and a solid financial background to her role on the Board of Directors, and she is eager to continue growing her involvement and impact within the organization.
Outside of work and volunteering, Courtney enjoys sewing, spending time at the lake, and taking motorcycle trips with her husband.
