Sanctuary and Schooling: Building a Girls’ Dormitory in Thailand
For young girls on the Thai-Myanmar border, a safe place to sleep is often the only barrier standing between them and exploitation. We are helping to raise $20,000 to construct a dedicated girls-only dormitory to meet this critical need.
Currently, poverty and instability in the region make girls uniquely vulnerable to trafficking. This new facility will provide essential housing, security, and mentorship, allowing them to focus on their education rather than their survival. 100% of contributions go directly to Not For Sale and Baan Kru Nam Foundation to help build this sanctuary.
In borderland regions like Mae Sai, girls are disproportionately targeted by trafficking networks and are often forced to sacrifice their education to care for households. Safety is the first step to changing this reality.
A secure dormitory gives a girl freedom from fear. According to UNESCO, every additional year of education increases a girl's future earnings by 20%, and educated mothers are twice as likely to send their own children to school. By supporting this project, we aren't just building walls; we are helping Not For Sale and Baan Kru Nam Foundation create a protected environment where young women can bond, learn, and break the cycle of poverty for their entire families.
