Erika Eason

Erika Eason has been a part of the LiveDifferent (formerly Absolute) picture for a long time. We first met her on one of our first Hero Holidays in Dominican Republic and it was there we made a connection that has carried past an experience and into an entire transformation.

I am from Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and I am currently in school taking child and youth care studies. I was one of 6 ladies who graduated from the LiveDifferent (formerly Absolute) School of Leadership in 2008.There are many reasons why I believe in the work LiveDifferent (formerly Absolute) does, and why I am a monthly partner. I have been a part of it all and I recognize the value of what we do. LiveDifferent (formerly Absolute) advocates that every life has a purpose and by going one step further and bringing them to the world outside where they are.When I came to LiveDifferent (formerly Absolute) in 2007, I was a broken teenager and could see no way out of the pain in my life. Through my time with them, I began to recognize that change is really possible – not only in my life but also in the world. LiveDifferent (formerly Absolute) helped me get the courage to find my purpose and live it out.I love the quote from Gandhi: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” I believe that LiveDifferent (formerly Absolute) is being the change in lives everywhere and helping to pave the path for others to do so as well. I wouldn’t be in school and to work with youth without the influence that LiveDifferent (formerly Absolute) has had on my life. I am proud to be a partner and to have a hand in the work that they do!People like Erika and people like you are what make LiveDifferent (formerly Absolute) continue to thrive. Together, we are stronger, because this is how hope can transform lives.
