Spread the love

Meghan BrooksMeghan is from Kingston, Ontario. Her passion for video and photography has taken her all over the world, allowing her the opportunity to experience different cultures, projects and programs. However, Meghan is a committed philanthropist with LiveDifferent (formerly Absolute) because of something more than a good feeling. She is a part of making LiveDifferent (formerly Absolute)’s programs possible because her life has been affected, first hand, by what we do. In her own words, she can’t help but want to be a part of LiveDifferent (formerly Absolute).

The first time we met Meghan, mnay years ago, she was behind the video camera at an event that LiveDifferent (formerly Absolute) was performing at.”Standing and watching from behind the camera, I knew that what they were doing was special and I was hooked from that moment. I knew I had to be a part of it. When these people with their big hearts came into my life, I knew the love they had for people, and especially teenagers, was real.I went on my first Hero Holiday in the summer of 2008 and it changed my life. The love that I felt from Christal and Vaden ten years earlier was the same love I found when I joined them again on Hero Holiday, only now it was shared with hundreds of other lives that needed it.When you believe in something enough, you are willing to invest your time, your energy and your money into it because you know it is all worth it. To see LiveDifferent (formerly Absolute) grow into what it is today is only possible because of people like you: people who believe in what they are doing and support them in any way that you can, whether it was financially, going on a ?trip for yourself or even by saying a prayer – you can help and make a difference!LiveDifferent (formerly Absolute) and Hero Holiday have become a reality because of a deep love and passion to help others. I am honoured to be a part of LiveDifferent (formerly Absolute) and to give my money because I am fully confident that it is being put to good use. Even though I have only had the chance to be a part of one Hero Holiday so far, I know that the work goes on and the lives that are impacted is far reaching.”People like Meghan make all of this possible; people who believe in something enough to be a part of it in whatever way they can. We are all in this together.
